David Vandenburg, President & Chief Executive Officer, has served as the Managing Partner | Sponsor of over 40 investment property partnerships involving over 24,000 units and more than 100 properties.  Additionally, David was the General Partner of a Wall Street-sponsored Private Placement of a twenty-three (23) property multifamily portfolio which was institutionally over-subscribed and proved highly successful to the respective investors. David is a graduate of Southern Methodist University (“SMU”) in Dallas where he earned his B.A. Degree in Business with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate.  David has been the Principal and Sponsor in investment partnerships with LaSalle Investment Management, AEW, the separate account pension funds Honeywell Master Pension Trust, City of Boston Public Employees, Delta Airlines, Total (fka Elf Aquitaine North America and Total Fina Elf) managed by their real estate advisor CenterSquare Investment Management fka Urdang Capital Management, Citigroup Wealth Advisors, GE Capital Real Estate, State of New Mexico Investment Council, the Getty Trust, and many others. Mr. Vandenburg began his career in the real estate industry working on-site at multifamily properties during the summer months from junior high school through college, and during his professional development performed as an acquisitions analyst, acquisitions & dispositions director, asset manager, and chief credit officer.  Mr. Vandenburg has been integral to the platform’s development for over 29 years and is headquartered in Chicago.
