Mohamed Altawash is an accomplished entrepreneur & philanthropist with more than 20 years of successful business experience focused primarily across the Persian Gulf and the United Arab Emirates (“UAE”); additionally, he has been active in Europe and the United States across the Real Estate, Private Equity & Venture Capital sectors both in the private and public markets. He has leveraged his experience and along with his ability to "wear many hats" has enabled him to provide leadership to a number of endeavors that have resulted with an IPO and a Gulf market-listing.  After receiving his engineering degree in the US, he began his career with the Ministry of Oil and Industry where he first honed his leadership and management skills.  Along the way, he mentored and managed a dynamic team of individuals as a Founder & CEO of TAMEER, now known as Inovest, where his vision and leadership propelled the company in 2005 to become the first publicly-held real estate company on the Bahrain & Kuwait Stock Exchanges.   He later formed and became the CEO of RealCAPITA which provided an even larger base for expansion across the region’s real estate sector.  Thereafter, he’s expanded MRT Investment, his personal investment platform as well as developed Corporate Hub CH9 where he was both the Founder & Managing Director of this technology and business incubator.   He's a corporate advisor for AlHokair Group in Saudi Arabia which during his tenure resulted in an IPO as well as the Tadawel market listing in 2014; he’s also an International Partner in WMG Advisors LLP in London, United Kingdom as well as an Associate Partner in MIF via Iris Capital as one of the initial Gulf-based venture capital platforms as regulated by CBB Venture Capital investment platform.  Mohamed is a Civil Engineering Graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and is an active cyclist and athlete with many distinctions in the Triathlon and furthermore has competed in and completed Ironman competitions. Mr. Altawash, a native of Bahrain, is now headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where he has taken a senior management role with PIF, Saudi’s Public Investment Fund, for domestic investments and will therefore serve as a reference to VDB Groupe.
